Sometimes I think about how the little things that happen to us don't really matter in the big picture. I mean, doing small acts of service for other people does affect our happiness. But we should not sweat the small stuff that we usually always stress out about. If we are trying our hardest to be the best we can be and to do the best that we can do in ALL our pursuits of life, then we don't need to worry about the small things that determine our day to day moods. If we can just find one thing to smile about, then those problems slowly start to fade and we come up with solutions to fix those problems. And if we can forget about the stressful tasks we are pressured to accomplish every day, and just do what we can, then we will be happier. Yes, we should be organized, and make goals to finish what we need to...but be reasonable. We aren't superheroes or secret ninjas that can do everything. Cut yourself some slack and if you are doing as much as you can, you will know it.
Look at the big picture of your life, and think about where you are heading, and if you like it or not. If you don't want to see yourself doing something, such as continuing a bad habit, then fix it so you can really enjoy what life is all about. Life is about learning, and learning how to have joy fixing your mistakes. Until you learn to laugh about your mistakes, you won't learn to fully appreciate and love everything about life. You have those days where everything just seems to go wrong...and everybody has those types of days. But usually everyone has met that person or friend who is always happy and who has learned to smile and just drive through trials without even a hint of tears. So next time you have one of those days, be that person, and just get through it. A day won't last forever, I promise. It's only 24 hours, and soon you will have a chance to start over and smile through any roadblock that is in your way. And if you are that person, you will be an example to every person who meets you. I have met that person, and I am going to try to be like her because she is the one I can always depend on to never give up. Giving up isn't even one of her options..it just doesn't come naturally. So try to become a person who doesn't give a second angry thought about a tribulation...just take a deep breath and know that the bigger picture of your life is only what matters.
