About Me

My name is Mallory.  A couple nicknames are "Mal-pal" or "Mallorina."

But just Mallory is fine.

I live in Alaska, and have lived here forever.  I am young of age, and wish time would slow down.  I love photography, and this blog was initially for the pictures I took, but I found it was easier and more enjoyable if I wrote and posted some pictures that I took.  I am by no means a professional photographer, I just fall in love with photography.  I also fall in love with words, which is why I love to write about my thoughts, (and use quotes).

I am a swimmer, a competitive one.  I started swim lessons when I was probably five, and then around the age of double digits I started swimming on a club team.  I have since then stayed on the team, but have had my fair share of trials and mini breaks from the sport.  I am now on my high school swim team (for the season) and enjoy every minute of it.  Every day I try to become a better swimmer.  I do plan on swimming in college, wherever that may be.  But, I am not an especially fast swimmer, and the only reason I have continued with swimming over the years is because I love the sport.

I am the type of person that works hard in school to maintain the GPA I would like, which is a 4.0.  And I take AP classes.  Some people ask: "Why would you want to take an AP class?"  I take AP classes because I want to feel like I have accomplished something.  I like how it raises my GPA, too.  In my classes this year, I have learned to love and appreciate writing much more.

I come from a huge family, with many sisters and brothers.  I have two adopted sisters.  I love all my family, and just wish that I could see them more often.  I am an Aunt, and love how when my family does all get together, it's huge!

I sometimes expect too much of myself, but I figure that it is better than expecting nothing of myself.  I worry a lot, like my mother does.  I love sunlight, beaches, and traveling.  I would love to travel the world, take pictures, learn how to sing well and dance, and have a family.  Movies and TV shows keep me sane, as well as deep breathing skills.

Sometimes I refer to this blog as my online exposed journal, but without the secrets.

So, enjoy my blog and have a wonderful day!
