Story of a Front Yard Summer Flower:
Once upon a time...There lived a flower. She was as happy as could be, and her name was Sunshine. She had white petals, and a yellow head with one long green leg and a couple green arms. The bees loved her, and she got plenty of water and sunlight, so she was perfectly happy.
She grew up to be inspired by the actions around her. She saw a family grow up and love each other. She saw the seasons change from spring to summer to autumn. She saw the leaves fall, and the grass crackle with frost. She realized her time was soon coming that she would not be able to live again until months later, but knew that she had lived a wonderful life. She learned that love was most important. She remembered the mother cuddling and carrying her child along the sidewalk to the car. She remembered seeing her carefully strap the chubby, rosy cheeked baby into her safe car seat. She remembered being sniffed by the little toddler boy. She remember seeing the girl get her first kiss on the doorstep of their home. She remembered watching the boy spill tears over a heartbreak, and the mother only holding him, caressing and rocking him. She remembered the mother and father stressing over how to be good parents, rubbing their hands on their foreheads. She remembered seeing their gentle hugs and light kisses. She remembered seeing the father roll around with his little boy in the freshly cut grass. She remembered the teenage girl giggling with her friends. She remembered the whole family outside, the kids running around barefoot, the father mowing the lawn, the mother trimming the ferns, and the children drawing the ocean with chalk on the sidewalk. She remembered seeing their smiles. She remembered their eyes, full of smiles. She remembered how they looked at each other with such passion and fondness. She remembered love.

Hi there,
I just saw your comment on my blog and if you would like to contribute to the I HEART Project, please email me. I have no one from Alaska, so it would be fun to have you be a part (even though technically, deadline for sign-ups has passed)
