Someday I'll Grow Up

Just yesterday it seems like I was enjoying the summer time, traveling to Hawaii and swimming in the beautiful ocean.  Already, it is winter time and the high school swim season is completely over.  We still do have a banquet this week, and I have yet to find a dress I love.  But this weekend,  I managed to find a couple cute outfits at forever 21!  for cheap!

Sometimes, I wish time would slow down.  In the best moments of our lives, the time goes by too quickly.  And in the parts of life we dislike, time drags on and on.

And this weekend definitley went by too fast.  But I knew it was coming, and would end all too quickly.  So, in the times we are most enjoying life, don't forget to be thankful for what you have and who you are.

I braided Jessie's hair during the dive meet! I love braids of all kinds.
PS...I learned how to french braid my hair a while ago, but its only the inside out kind. I love to braid my own hair!

The first team dinner during the trip at Moose's Tooth!  The pizza was delicious.

The last team dinner at Red Robin's!  This is everyone with their huge desserts.

This is of a couple of the girls who dressed up the wednesday before state.

Me an Hanna in the bathrooms at Moose's Tooth!

I think that the second best way to remember things other than just by memory is to take pictures.

Take bunches of pictures and you will not regret it!

I know someday I will look back at these pixellated, fuzzy, phone pictures and remember one time that I went to State with the WV swim team, and loved almost all the minutes of it.

Also.

I decided two things this weekend:

1.  I want to swim in college for sure, maybe at BYU.  Even if I'm a walk-on.

Ahhh!

2.  I decided that I don't want to take a buttload of AP classes next year.
Why spend my last year of high school in complete emotional and stressful ruins from taking hard classes?
My mother said to just enjoy my last year of high school! I will probably just take one or two easy AP classes..AP Spanish (with my craaazyy spanish teacher who yells at our class daily!) or AP Biology?

Ohh..the decisions.

I am one super super indecisive person.

I take quite a decent amount of time to pick out food at the grocery store, or makeup and clothing.

I want to address one more thing today.

In church this morning, we learned about self mastery of bad habits.

We made a list of three things that we wanted to improve on.

My top one was to be positive in all situations.

I could say so many horrible things about the academic situation I am in, but instead I am trying to not do that...and only tell myself that I can accomplish what I want to.

Jeez! I got a 98.5% on my last pre calc test, so I can practically do anything!

The reason I only told you one thing I wanted to improve on was because the others are secrets and that we can only focus on one thing at a time.

BTW:

Mosiah 4:27
27 And see that all these things are done in wisdom and aorder; for it is not requisite that a man should run bfaster than he has strength. And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order.

According to this scripture, it tells us we can only do so much!  We can't do everything at once, so we need to find one thing and focus on it for a while.

I am going to focus on being a happier, more positive person.

Spencer W. Kimball quoted:
“The height of a man’s success is gauged by his self-mastery; the depth of his failure by his self-abandonment. … He who cannot establish a dominion over himself will have no dominion over others. He whomasters himself shall be king

Have a lovely week.

P.S. Remember that Thanksgiving is coming soon...and Christmas.
That always makes me happier.
