Keep Your Eyes Peeled For Pears

That title had nothing to do with this post.  But, let me explain why I wrote that title because I had no prior plans for this post.

I was typing a random letter into the title bar, and it was doing the predictive thing where it shows all the other titles I have written that begin with the same letter. I pressed the letter K, and I had no titles beginning with K!  But a bajillion others with T and W.  So, I proceeded to google words that began with the letter K, and then the creative juices started flowing.  I was gonna say something lame like "keep your eyes peeled for people with curly hair" because I curled my hair today, but then decided that I would use some alliteration and added the "pears".  You know why I also added the "pears"?  Because some people peel their pears.  Well, freaks do or people concerned with allergic reaction to pear skin. And isn't that a cool pun?  If you know of someone who peels pears, then it is.

I'm going to write a poem for you:

Reflections are stories of lives pursued
and passed.
Look in the mirror, the river,
or a window.
You see yourself.
and think that you are living in the moment.
Right Now.
But really, you are never in this moment.
You have made a thought, you
created an idea, or mentality
of what is true.

The thought was thought
not now,
but actually a moment ago.
So you see, you are always living in the future.
Wait! You feel it?

You are experiencing something many people
would deeply wish to adventure into.
You are in the future.
Again and again, create
the opportunity to live at your
best in the future: this moment.

For the present is long gone once
you realize it is passed, as quick
as the reflex of a cat.

Many opportunities are
placed aside, as the magazines
or coffee mugs on a table.
Go look through magazines.
Of art, of creations, accomplishments.

To inspire and encourage you
to reach for the treat dangling overhead,
as you run towards your goals, somehow
not quite able to reach the treat just
yet.

Then, wash the coffee mug.

Because life does not come without effort.
The effort of life is required to succeed,
and once you understand what you need to
do to succeed,
all you will need is desire.

There you go, I gave the formula
to you for living life at it's best.
You have nothing to lose,
besides time,
as I once heard.

So go climb a mountain.
Read a book.
Paint a picture.
Build a tree house.
Find a religion that interests you.
Make a new friend.
Start a conversation with a bus driver.
Get a facial.
Then,

 smile.
