My hero is Betty Suarez. Yes, a TV show character from Ugly Betty. After all, its the movies and media that inspire us to do certain things, and to be more like this kind of person. In most cases, the media is a bad influence. But some media is inspiring and can catch our eye and help us on our way to feeling human emotions, setting goals, experiencing life, giving to others, and going out of our comfort zones. Three certain shows in the media have caught my eye, and made me think about important choices that we make in our life. Ugly Betty is one of them, 2012 (the movie), and Valentine's Day. The TV show Ugly Betty recently ended, and was the most perfect ending I could have ever imagined. I used to be neutral to the show, and not really favor it. I faithfully watched Ugly Betty from season 2 or 3 to the last season. I watched her grow and become the most confident and influential person ever, besides my mother. It sounds silly because, yes, she is a TV character, but watching it helped me learn about how to live live, and to the greatest extent you can.
In the beginning, she was a scared young adult, attempting to apply for a job at Mode, a magazine company. She is hired only to keep her boss away from her, because she looked homely. As she grows, she becomes a very beautiful woman who is independent, and her career has grown incredibly. She has the best laid out in front of her because of the work she put in over many years at Mode. Her boss, named Daniel, was married, but his Fiancee died of cancer. He then returns back to his former life before he had a relationship with his wife of partying and sleeping with multiple woman. As time goes on, Betty teaches him to become a better person. He also grows mentally, and learns to be a better person. In the end, Betty has beautiful non-braced teeth, and is so gorgeous because of her can-do, positive attitude. She gets a new job in London, but Daniel meets her there. He had fallen in love with Betty, his best friend. They meet together, and the end portrays that there is so much beauty in the world.
