I feel more free! I feel free-er. If that was a word.
Because... I decided to go on my facebook (which I don't like to do often), and delete the friends that weren't really my friends.
I deleted the girl who never even said hi to me. I deleted the girl who I used to play barbies with.
And the girl who said hi once, but never again. And the girl that I only had class with, and who I wouldn't hang out with outside of class. Heck, I didn't even like hanging out with her IN CLASS.
I deleted the childhood friend, but kept another friend because we share a good, brief past. Maybe we met in gym class. Maybe we used to be best friends. Maybe I am jealous of you, and was tired of looking at all your posts of you and your gorgeous face.
Maybe I just added you cause you are good looking. Maybe I deleted you because we have never met. But I only knew OF you. And hoped someday we could become real friends. Maybe I deleted you as a "friend" because we were never really friends. Maybe we are just family friends. Maybe I kept you as a friend because we might need some form of communication schoolwise, workwise, or any other-wise.
Strange, isn't it? I feel that people do just post pictures and come up with really awesome status updates because it's all a contest to get the most "likes" or comments. Which is why I sometimes don't like this social interweb thing at all. But then once I start back up again, it's addicting to use up spare time "stalking"people's profiles.
But then again, who HASN'T posted something on facebook and NOT expected to get something in return from all their "friends"?
You never know, I could end up adding some of these friends again, if we become friends in real life, first.
True friends are like diamonds, precious but rare. Fake friends are like fall leaves, found everywhere.
