My brother will be home from his mission early next year. I can't wait!
Speaking of which, I will almost be graduated. I feel so mature. Age really has nothing to do with maturity, but experience does.
I feel pretty experienced.
Although I am young, I consider myself quite knowledgeable in academics as well as common sense.
One thing that school lacks to teach students (as they do have a commitment to teach youth)
is common sense.
Maybe they should teach all kids how to change a tire, how to refill your windshield cleaning fluid, how to speak two different languages, and how to respect others.
If some thing is lost by people in their lifetime,
it is respect for others in their high school ages.
Of course, not everyone loses respect for others (and themselves)
and it is always possible to rebuild that respect.
And you must learn how to respect yourself FIRST.
So, I will see you when I see you: school and fellow students.
In a couple days.
One thing I'm excited for is to wear my new school clothing.
And do my hair.
After a while, it gets old.
But this year, I am welcoming this distasteful yet occasionally entertaining academic environment with open arms.
I'm excited to learn.
