I think that he is awesome.
In this episode, Spongebob wakes up, and sings about his "best day ever." However, along the way things start going terribly and nothing turns out as how he expected it to go. He couldn't do karate with Sandy, he couldn't go to work or Squidward's concert, and Patrick took his jellyfishing nets! In the end, Spongebob learned that he was able to help his friends! Sandy had her roof fixed with his glove, Patrick was able to go jellyfishing, Squidward's clarinet was fixed, and he led the Krusty Krab away from destruction!!!
If you are having a really sucky day, think about ways in which to help others, or ways that you have already helped! I guarantee 100% it will make you happy.
