S'more Poems to Snack On

I'm pretty sure these are some poems pieced together from The Great Gatsby.

Dance Alone

A rhythm stirred the people
Did you notice the party stayed late?
The lights extinguished into a dim
Magical garden.
Romantic possibilities feel far away
And are dismissed with a snap of his fingers.

He was silent,
An unutterable depression
Will dance and repeat the past.

One night, years before,
Life had stopped loving.
There was a stir and bustle
with changes.

He mounted a ladder
Above the trees
And formed the stars.

A secret ladder,
A heart of perishable breath,
A mind like God.
An Elusive rhythm, a fragment of lost words,
Dance with crushed flowers.
And dance alone.

Slapping Satisfaction

The dark morning sun
Crowded a flicker of satisfaction.
A particular tipsy table hollowly
Emerged from the sunlight into the train.

Hot whistles broke delicately
And slapped the floor.
A dark stain flushed the lips,
A faint bell roared
Needlessly to the room of life.

We can’t move on together,
Said a husky voice, a clog in the brick fireplace.
Guiltily, I got dressed into a little dream.

Both written by Mallory (phrases from The Great Gatsby).

-Mallory

P.S. I have a question for you bloggerians....if you could live as something else, would it be an avatar, a wizard (like in harry potter), or a vampire (from twilight)?

I chose avatar, as well as my mother and sister.  but my dad said that they didn't have construction or plumbing so it was kind of absurd.  (He wants to be a wizard).

I would be a vampire. Even though I think those books are lame. Because vampires get to kill things. Also, avatars are so primitive. And wizards are useless without wands.

Avatar all the way. It would be so fun to live in the wild somewhere WARM and be able to have the strength and beautiful physical form that the blue people have. Yeahya.
