i live in Alaska. alaska is not the ideal place for a girl like me. however, I love the sunshine that comes half the year, and the snow can be nice sometimes, too. i like my job. school is alright. and my friends are awesome.
it's just that all these girls who live in Utah and are mormon have the time of their lives as youth. there are actually cool and nice guys in Utah!
(don't get me wrong, guys in Alaska, some of you are cool).
I am pretty sure I am judged because I don't go to parties and such over the weekend. heck, im not even friends with those who do party. ok, i am friends with them, i just dont hang out with them. oh my gosh i just said heck. blah.
but let me make this clear. you girls in utah probably have fun, CLEAN parties. I mean, without the alcohol and drugs and sex. but the parties that go on here (all of em) involve pretty much all of the above. how would i know? i may not go but I do hear stuff. trashy stuff. even if I wasn't LDS, i wouldn't go to parties here. because I don't wanna be that kind of girl. ew. (sorry. you girls aren't ew...)
but you guys down in utah actually have HUGE groups of LDS friends and do cool teenager-ish stuff together. here i am, blogging. on a saturday night. but i dont think its bad.. cause I like to blog. and im about to go do something.
but thats none of your business. don't worry, it is "conducive to my well being."
OK, I don't call myself "antisocial" or a "social butterfly." But I am definitley not a loner. In fact, an amazing quote I read a while ago says: "Embrace being alone."
But here is an even cooler one:
To dare to live alone is the rarest courage; since there are many who had rather meet their bitterest enemy in the field, than their own hearts in their closet. - Charles Caleb Colton
It's true. I feel like the world has become a contest for whoever can have the most friends. but in the end, really how many true friends? probably like two.
And for your information, I am not alone 24/7. That would be weird. I do have family and friends.
Like when you see teachers in the store with their wife or hubby, and you're like: "THEY ARE MARRIED?!?!?!" It's like seeing me at the movies with friends: "SHE HAS FRIENDS?!?!"
Hahahahahhaha I am totally kidding. this is a really informal post. because i wanted a small change.
but really, i do love my lovely friends and best friends and biffle and my parents and family! without them...I would be lonely.
