I'm Trying Hard to Not Try Hard To Be Funny

So.  My best friend told me that I am funny when I don't TRY to be funny.  I say things that I think are just my opinions and I don't expect it to be funny, but then people start chuckling.  So I guess that's cool.  And then sometimes I try to make a joke and no one gets it.  And they stare at me like I am a freak or something.  Don't worry, I HAVE been called a freak to my face before.  It feels awesome.

That was sarcasm.

Don't worry.  As Christina Aguilera says in her song:

'Cause it
Makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
Makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter!

Oh yeah.

So my point is...if I am trying hard to NOT TRY to be funny, so then it is my natural funny, I'm still trying hard... I try too hard too often and too much.  I just need to be me.  And relax.  Calm down.  Ride life on a leaf.  Or on a white clover weed like Flick from A Bug's Life.

In case you don't know, a white clover is one of those fluffy weeds you see scattered throughout your lawn or in the woods.  And when you see one, usually you pick it up and blow on it and make a wish.  Like your birthday, except nature-y.

Ah, there I go again.  Trying hard.  To have an awesome sense of humor.  Cause it's a very important trait.  You should work on it, readers.  When you can make others laugh, and better yet, YOURSELF, life is better.  And not so depressing.

Yay!

Be funny.  And happy.

But don't try too hard.

Mallory, you don't try to be funny. I believe it come natural to you. Its just you being you(: and there is no need to change that. So don't. If that makes you happy, then by golly, do it 24/7. Life is too short to be caught up in changing for others. If they can't accept you for what makes you, you, then they don't deserve the rath of Miss Mallory Dixon(: never second guess yourself.
