And as I take a swift break from the long studious hours of this afternoon/night...I will write a post of "likes."
Mallorina's "Likes" On the Eighteenth of May, Two-Thousand and Eleven
- It smells SO good outside. Like freshness. BETTER than Febreze. (OOH...shocking).
- I probably (hopefully) aced my math final! So pre-proud of myself!
- Music is SO wonderful. It's like ten times better than poems alone because its pitch plus beautiful words.
- Evening light glows and diffracts over my front yard and it is gorgeous.
- I drove the stick shift today for the first time in a while. I was so scared I would stall. Or the engine would just stop working. Or..brakes would fail me. Such an old car frightens me. But I do like it. It's fun to drive a little stick shift. You should try it.
- Smartness is relative as is beauty. There are so many versions of "intelligence," so how can we know who is the "smartest person in the world?"
- Life is bigger than I know. And I have realized that minuscule events in my life shouldn't be stressed or worried about because I have a greater purpose. Why cry over my grades? Why spend every minute consumed with academic success? Why worry about my insecurities? Or hers? Just smile.
- In fact, I just decided to make JUST SMILE this next bullet point thing because it's a cool thing to do.
- I wish I was a REALLY good dancer.
- For all you confused people out there, grinding is not "dancing."
- ANYTHING is possible if you TRULY have faith in yourself. I believe in you. You believe in you. Good.
- I have consulted with my family and I have learned that you don't need to like everyone, but you shouldn't hate anyone. You won't ever be friends with some people, but you won't hate each other.
- If you are obsessed with being popular and cool, it's not worth it. You may lose your best friend or good friend. And all for what cause? For your "self esteem" that some careless friends like to tear down to build up their own self esteem?
- I want to do yoga more often.
- I got a weird tan line on my back from when I layed out in the sun. I just fell asleep in all my clothes but wanted somewhat of a tan, so I halfway lifted up my shirt. So there is a diagonal line on my back. Better than no tan! Hah!
- I really love tile floors. Ah!
- It will be fun to move into a dorm someday. I like interior design.
Have a drop dead exquisite evening.
-Mallory

I'm not sure how old you are, I'm guessing 17/18 because you're sitting your finals. I wish I was as clued up on life at your age as you seem to be.
I had to travel a little away around the world to figure out that just smiling is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It's wonderful and it's free.
I love the term "pre-proud"! I'm totally stealing that one.
Take care x
