I taught some watercise

Actually, it's called aquacise.  But everyone seems to think that watercise is the substitute word.

But...Monday night I taught my first aquacise class.  And boy oh boy was I nervous.  I sat at home all day, anxious and in anticipation.  My legs got more wobbly as it came close to the time I had to go to work, and my muscles all felt like jello.  and I started breathing really fast if I thought about it too much.

As you all know, I am reading a book titled How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.  I applied one of the techniques suggested when you are consumed with worry.  You write down these things:

1. What the problem is.
2. Causes of the problem.
3. All possible solutions.
4. The Best solution.

And so I did.  I sat down and found a scrap piece of paper to follow these steps in an attempt to cure my worry...or maybe just simmer it down a little bit.  I came up with the best solution, which was to prepare to teach by attending some other aquacise classes, asking for advice, creating a lesson plan, and then I would teach aquacise.

I sunk down into the couch with the paper in my lap, on top of a book.  I thought: "Okay.  I feel better.  I have come up with a plan...so there is NO need to worry."

And Then I kept on thinking and pondering the situation I was in and started worrying again.

oh poop.

So, I followed through and did every single thing in my plan.  And GUESS VAT, MAH FAHLLAWAHS!  (vampire voice - the non - twilight kind).

I DID IT.   I may have been so wobbly and nervous before, but I was not nervous one bit while I taught the class.  My lesson plan was beautiful.  And the advice I got was great.  The CD I made was also quite awesome.  As the song Shark in the Water started playing, one of the ladies said: "This is a great song!"  Ha ha.  And I got it after five seconds.  I mean...we were in a pool. (with water!  duh.  what pool doesn't have water?)  I assured them that there were no sharks in that water.

I feel as if I could conquer the world.  Whatever that means.

That's so cool that you teach aquacise and that you're a lifeguard. :)
